If you start the walk from the city of Alaro up to the Castell on top of Puig d'Alaro, it's most impressive - you feel the climbing and live the impressively high location! How did they get their building materials there? It's a beautiful spot, but choose a day with open air to enjoy the views at the full!

Good pair of shoes and take water and sunscreen! Nice hike to the top, fantastic views & well worth the effort to get there!

I went almost up to the castle but I had to stop very short before getting there as the "road" ends and I was on a push bike so no way to climb up with racing bike shoes! Despite the road is not a road x push bike I have enjoyed climbing and once you are there the view is... More

Famous for lamb slowly cooked for hours in a rock - oven. Simply but good and fresh food, even Gambas and Fish ( for no meat eaters ). Prices a reasonable and the view over Alaró and the Tramuntana is spectacular... The road is not very good up to the mountains but they have enough parking space. Another 45 Min.... More
