Nice place to be both day and night. On a windy day the small boats act as a good windbreak while you are sunbathing.

Plenty of space for sitting or playing beach games, from bat and ball to sailing instruction. Much less commercialised than the Playa de las Canteras.

The Alcaravaneras Beach is Las Palmas city's less attractive beach because it faces the industrial port where many great vessels are moored. Warnings about the water quality here often only reach the local community and sometimes foreign visitors do not realize that the water is...More

The beach is very close to the busy port, and you can see all the ships and yachts from it. It is good for sports, e.g. if you play volleyball, or just want to sit for an hour and sunbath, but the water did not...More

A nice beach to spend a few hours... Great sand. But the view towards the industrial harbour is not so nice... Not tempting to swim...

This beach felt pretty sorry for itself. It looks deserted and feels as though it has been forgotten about. The play area at the northern end is OK but that is about its only redeeming feature. A few homeless are around the area too. Not...More

Used for beach volleyball etc but at other times pretty deserted. Looks out over the port area so not as pretty as Las Canteras beach.

This is the second, often forgotten beach of Las Palmas. Definitively Las Canteras is better but an alternative is the later gets crowded. It's easy to access and great for sports.
