Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

This is one of the key touristic attractions in the island, perfect to take great pictures. I would recommend to see it. Amazing views of La Graciosa island in an interesting building. Restaurant/bar: just for a drink/beer. Do not consider the bar to have a meal as they have limited and poor food. Just 5 minutes from the place you... More

It is worth the drive here for the great views. There is also a nice cafe. The town on the island opposite is built on the beach and has no roads!

This is true gem, as so many attractions on Lanzarote with the fingerprints of Cesar Manrique all over the place! Stunning view, the place with shop and cafeteria likewise, well worth a trip to the northern tip of the island! Go see...

I visited yesterday. Sadly it was a bit misty so the views weren't as good as they could have been. However, it was still something special looking across to Graciosa. The view from the cafe was great. Prices in the cafe were good too.

Check the weather before you head off, it's pointless going if there are low clouds, we couldn't see a thing when we visited. Great views though on a lovely sunny day and fab views from the cafe.

Great views of the island and surrounding areas, to be honest, don't pay to go in and just park nearby, the views are just as good! The Cafe is expensive for what it is.

One of the main attractions of the Lanzarote island - the beautiful viewpoint from which you can enjoy the view across the strait named El Río and the small island La Graciosa (popularly called "the eighth Canarian island"). At first I taught, which view is worth 4.95 euros, but now I can assure you, it is totally worth it. The... More
