Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

Just a word: amazing. Cool place to take a cool pic. You'll never forget this view, and merchandise is cheap

This cafe is based as far north as you can get on the island and has a breath taking veiw over two small little known islands of La Gracio and Islands de Alegranza. The cafe has a huge picture window and a balcony which is high, very very high!!!! The outlook is in the direction of Morocco. The coffee is... More

Its a winding road up to Mirador del Rio, but the journey is well worth it! Spectacular wide views of surrounding island and coastline, married with Cesar Manrique buildings which are worth the visit also. If you are going to the caves, you should visit here too. Recommended.

It is a bit of a drive to get here but it is well worth it parking is easy, I am told always a lot of people visiting but turnover is steady. Cafe prices on par with most places. An hour should do you here, the views are very good take the camera.

This is a Cesar Manrique designed ( Architect / sculptor ) viewpoint at the far north tip of Lanzarote. It has utterly stunning views of the Island of Graciosa, the cliffs around the headland, and a tantalising distant glimpse of the volcanos national Park - Timanfaya. It has pleasant walks around about, a beautiful cafe area to take in the... More

We have been passing this view point two times, both times restaurant was closed unfortunately. But it doesn't matter, this place is worth to visit to see a very picturesque view to the neighboring island and to drive a narrow road on the top of the hill.

It was definitely worth to drive through the whole island to get there. The view from the height of 474 metres down the rock to the see is really frightful but don't worry you can hold on to the railing. Tip - drive up to the entrance. We left our car a few hundreds yards away from it like other... More

Traveling on the road to it is more spectacular, but wouldn't miss it. Views were spectacular. Very cheap to get in.

Truly....this is amazing views. Look down on the Island of Graciosa and watch your breath taken away. We have been lucky enough to be there in hot sunshine and also very high winds........compares with the worlds best views very favourably. Good parking and only a few quid to go in and walk around the cliff. If you are in Lanzarote....take... More
