Overview
More
Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

The view and the special cloud effects here can be stunning, but it very much depends on the weather, so if you feel disappointed the first time, come back and watch the clouds "fall from the sky" as they descend down the cliff in front...More

This is basically a posh viewing point but done with immense style and panache. The outlook is simply marvelous and even on a dull day staggering

We went to the mirador whilst visiting other attractions in the north. It's a lot belt place to go and look over the island of Graciosa. The views are spectacular and the sheer height of the viewing platform is breath taking.

Many people park their cars near to the attraction and walk down the road, presumably to avoid paying the admission. However, the modest fee provides much more than the magnificent view over to La Graciosa ... this is another of the Manrique designed buildings and...More

The main reason to visit is to see the breath-taking view - just spectacular at any time. Just as important for many will be that this is another Manrique masterpiece. The mirador has been inserted into the natural landscape without damaging it, enabling visitors to...More

There is a charge to get in but it was worth it. Beautiful views of the sun set and the other small islands. Can get very windy at the top. Nice little cafe inside. We came out and walked to the cliff on the left...More

Quite simply one of the most stunning views anywhere in Europe for lovers of any type of scenery, but especially for those keen on volcanoes. The cafeteria leaves a little to be desired but if it means spending a little longer enjoying the panorama...

Lovely view, especially with nice sunny weather! A great place to make some wonderful pictures. Not a place to stay for more than half an hour, but a must see when visiting the island.
