Went to Teide this week. Snow on top. Stunning blue sky. Cafe was a bit expensive and you had to pay for the loo.

Yes it is, google it and you will see when it last erupted. When we were at the top you could see smoke coming out of the rocks, it was warm steam and smelt of sulphur.

It's free of you have a permit. If not then u can pay for various tours. Permit can be booked in advance that usuall only issue 100 per day

If you are a non resident the price is 27 euro for adults round trip and 13.50 euro for children (not exactly sure on the age cutoff here. I believe we paid for our 6 year old and our 2 year old was free).
