The drive to Masca takes you along a road with the most fantastic views. The road itself is an experience, winding down through the valley, not for the people who get motion sickness! Such a beautiful lace!

We did not know what we very getting involved with when we departed Garachico to visit the Masca Valley and it is probably good that we did not know what was up ahead. This road makes those of the Amalfi Coast look not steep and winding at all. Driving to this valley for us was a hair raising, once and... More

What a great climb! It took us just over 2 and a half hours uphill at a leisurely pace and a short snack break. The last stretch just before the village is the toughest, even if it is mostly stairs. In the morning, you get the boat to yourself on the way to the beach, and in the village after... More

I hiked down in hour 45, then back up in the same time as less people were in the way. You can get a boat taxi every hour but I needed to get back to my scooter and buses in Tenerife are pretty bad. The setting is unbelievable and cool as you descend through the canyon. BUT, it does get... More

We have driven up to Masca by rented car. Roads are beautiful and safe. Overall trip down to the beach and back took us approx. 4 hours. we are skilled hikers and we have taken few moment to refresh ourselves down on the beach. Definitely worth visiting. If you have very small children, I would reconsider.

Apart from the flick of tourists and lack of parking this was a beautiful day out, the village is an amazing achievement to be built on such a steep hillside. The footpath to the beach said it was closed due to rockfall however there were many, many tour guides taking vast parties to the beach to catch a boat ride... More

We joined a combined tour to El Teide and Masca, it's very mountainous, and we were glad we had a very professional bus driver. Masca is a very small village located in mountains. If you like to see something special, this could be an option.

To reach this place is similar to a theme park ride where are think you are in control, but you're not! To see houses perched on a mountainside, looking as if they could tumble into the ravine at anytime, is amazing to see and to think that those who lived here were, for many centuries, cut off from the rest... I would not want to miss this place when visiting Tenerife. The trip to Masca is absolutely great experience with its narrow roads and endless turns. It is nice to see the houses and walk around the town. We did not walk down the valley but would definitely like to do it later. So many things go through your mind... More
