I was recommended this place as a good place to see local art. Unfortunately, the top floor was closed when I visited, and this was where the stuff I wanted to see was mostly displayed. However, there was other interesting pieces to see, both on the ground and first floors. The first floor was a little disorganised, as it seems... More

Undergoing refurbishment when we had were there which was a shame because it looks a nice place. Would like to go back and see it in its full glory.

What a find. Close to the port and housed in romantic architectural building, this gallery was free. Mainly religious oils but also pictures explaining the history of Tenerife, botanical sketches and paintings of Dior inspired 1950s Miss Tenerife. Peaceful atmosphere, guides on each floor, no cafe or shop. There is a park opposite and atmospheric square with balconied cafes shaded... More

The ambience is wonderful, even if much of the art wasn't to our taste. However, we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed that peaceful unhurried time to consider the paintings and sculpture. The best piece is the fabulous triptych at the top: intense colour and powerful depictions. Not only would the concierge not take a donation, but when we... More

The collection of this museum centers around religious themed art from Spain. Even if that is not your thing it is well worth a visit to see the interior of the building itself. In the plaza in front of the museum artists of various abilities sell their work. The museum is free for residents of the European Union and only 1.5... More

If you are looking for a good range of (mostly) Spanish art from the Renaissance period (most on loan from the Prado in Madrid), then this is worth a visit. If our experience is anything to go by it won't be too crowded! We also benefited from an interesting (free) tour from a volunteer guide - in Spanish only, though.

A selection of Spanish art from religious subjects to more modern landscapes. Gives an overview of what was popular in Spain at certain periods. Very quiet inside and free admission.

Stumbled upon this place quite by accident, and glad that we did as it was a cool, calm respite away from the tiresome heat of the day-with culture to boot! And it was free which appealed to our Scottish sense of parsimony! We spent a pleasant half an hour plus wandering round the gallery looking at a rather eclectic mix of modern&old style art,as... Given that entrance is free, nobody has a right to complain about this museum. Some pieces, some of which are on loan from the prado, are quite good, others not really, all the same worthwhile IMO.
