Beautiful coastline. Great walk from City center to lighthouse and back in 3/4 hours. Nice beeze from the ocean. My favourite thing to do in Santander.

Averymoving monument to remember the Falangists who were thrown over the cliffs by the Republicans during the Spanish Civil War. It shows a victim trying to stop himself from falling to his death on the rocks below. Very little information re this on tourist blurb,...More

The park has multiple of activities to do and offers spectacular views of the bay area. Go to the lighthouse preferably for sunset, and enjoy the landscape from the cafetería terrace.

Beautiful spot to visit where you can have a wonderful sight of the ocean and the Santander bay. There is a pub with fresh drinks and seats to enjoy the place. There are footpaths to walk on the riffs. Not much sapce to park.

A lil further from the city center, but worth a visit. Especially who likes hiking or loves nature. The area around the lighthouse was closed, but there are benches to sit, a bar for a drink and a snack. So you can make yourself sweet...More

We took a wander up at sunset to catch some photos of the lighthouse against the sunset - it did not disappoint. However on the way back we took a route away from the road. Fortunately there was still some light as it would have...More

The lighthouse is of an impressive size, and it is almost 2 centuries old. In front of it one can see a monument dedicated to the ones who were thrown through the cliffs (and died) during the Spanish Civil War. Below, there is a huge...More

Guess we are not the only travelers that have a soft spot for lighthouses, since there are always lots of people near any such building everywhere we went. In Santander the lighthouse is not far away from the sandy beaches and can be reached on...More

It's a great place in Santander. There is a wonderful short walk from the lighthouse to the very end of the cape. From that point you are surrounded by an exceptional view. It's pure beauty. You have to do nothing more than sit down a...More

This is a great place to get some fresh air and enjoy strolling about. We didn't go up into the lighthouse, which I bet offered some dramatic bird's eye views of the coastline. Nonetheless, do not miss walking out to the tip and looking back...More

Opposite the town hall there's a bus stop along a main road. Cross the main road so you're on the other side of the town square, then take any bus that goes to Sardinero. Most buses will stop close by there. When you're... More
