Mr. Zamorano spent 20 minutes with us on our visit. We learned about his sword and knife making, and explored his beautiful displays. I would call this a must stop on a visit to Toledo. While hand made replica swords are not for everyone, his kitchen knives, steak knives, sheathed and pocket knives are beautiful and mostly affordable. We missed... More

I was all set to travel to Spain and looking forward to the opportunity to visit Mr. Zamorano's shop when my daughter was not given the go ahead to study abroad - she's an underclassmen and there are others ahead of her. I reached out to Mr. Zamorano about my disappointment and still strong desire to own a piece of... More

We searched fairly hard to find this shop because we really wanted to tour the workshop and see how swords were made. There was not a lot going on but it was interesting to see how these swords, primarily for historic reenactments, were made much as they were in the past. Because we travel carry on only and shipping is... More

Dear solomon5, thanks for your comment. To find us can be hard, because we are in a very small place. We always say everybody that we are behind the Town Hall, so it´s easy to get our workshop. You have to visit us again and make the check-in with ours, thanks. More

A friend we were traveling with wanted to buy a knife in while we were in Toledo. I found this shop while looking for a place for him. We walked in and the person in the shop was awesome. He walked him through the different things they had and even gave us a tour of the back of the shop... More

Really interesting visit to the shop with a quick, unscheduled 'tour' of the workshop at the back. Really pleasant and helpful team talked us through the process, and guided us towards a purchase which looks great, and was a reasonable price. Had a really authentic feel and the fact that it is a fourth generation family business added a real... More

One of the highlights of a 3 1/2 week road trip to Spain. Bought 6 steak knives, 6 forks and bread knife. Love them, but have lost 2 steak knives. Can I buy 2 of the same steak knives now to replace them?

We came here based on their reputation and got a great kitchen knife. The difference between the knives and swords here and the ones in other shops is that they forge them by hand themselves. They sell their own stuff. The knife is great - sharp and made of good strong steel. Recommended

Awesome place and only an hour's drive from Madrid. My brothers-in-law are outdoorsmen and Mariano helped me to select a nice pair of hunting knives for them as gifts. We also bought a large chef's knife for my father and my husband bought a conquistador's sword. The workmanship is amazing and there's a large variety of blades on display. Mariano... More

Absolutely loved being able to see the amazing work done by Mariano. Could tell the love and passion that was poured into each blade. Highly recommend going for the experience as well as the craftsmenship. We bought a Chef's knife here that we use regularly and it is a pleasure to cook with. We also bought a short sword as a gift and a toy soldier. We also bought a gold bracelet. They seemed very proud of their sword smithing. The owner liked to talk about his work and his shop and his family legacy,... More
