On the way to Toledo, you will only have to stop at the edge of the road in the places provided for this purpose. But the best place to stop is at the Mirador del Valle. Sit on the wall and look at the city...More
For some of the best photos that can be taken of Toledo, the Mirador del Valle, which translates to Lookout of the Valley, is the place to go. The hike there isn't strenuous, but it also isn't a walk in the park. I'm in fairly...More
We took taxi from train station which cost 4.80euros for 5 minutes ride.
The view is magnificent that we probably had taken 50shots.
We decided to walk down so we can see the city from many angels which was a great decision. We walked 45min...More
If you are in Madrid, you should include in your itinerary a daytrip to Toledo. It would provide a sharp pleasant contrast to the hustle and bustle of Madrid (and at the time of this writing, the noise and dust of many ongoing road construction...More
We were lucky enough to stop here on the little tourist train that runs from the centre of the old town. The view is beautiful, you can see the whole town, the Cathedral, the Alcazar and on a sunny day, with the river Tagus in...More

There is a Hop-on, Hop-off bus every 20 minutes. A day ticket costs 9€ for the day. Half price for pensioners. You can also get a 10% discount if you have your ticket from another city's hop-on, hop-off bus [It's a worldwide company called City Sightseeing - check Google]. It's one of the best value for money deals in Toledo. Ear phones are provided and commentaries are in multiple languages. The Tourist information office have details of all the stops. The Mirador is a viewpoint on the opposite side of the river where the bus stops and waits while you can get out and look or take photos. If you want to stay and visit a restaurant, you can get a later bus, but you have ample time to take photos and get back on the same bus.
I don't know about a bus that is not hop-on, hop-off.
