It's July, so I elected to leave Toledo (not too) bright and early to make this walk and back before the sun got too hectic. I enjoyed a gentle sloping stroll of about twenty five minutes to the Mirador, passed by only a handful of...More
Beautiful view, can have a drink in the cafe up there which was nothing special in general but had the water mist pumps so great on a hot day. I took the L71 bus from Zocodover - only 15 min and €1.40 so super cheap...More
We did a guided tour for here and it's just as well as all the side streets are so similar.
Its is so beautiful and so full of history.Cobble lock everywhere and lots of steps but well worth a visit. We saw the famous painting...More
Accessible on foot for stalwarts (especially in blistering summer sun), though much more easily doable on the hop on-hop off tourist bus. Stop 5 and stop 6 will give you some excellent photograph opportunities.
I walked up the road from the historical centre, and it was a gorgeous walk - I’d completely recommend this if you’re able as it’s not too far and the views of the river and the hills on the way up are outstanding as well...More
Wonderful view of the city! We are a family of five. Instead of taking taxi we took Bus 7.1 to Mirador del Valle and told the lady driver our destination after we bought the tickets. It’s 1.4 euro per ticket. At the very last stop,...More
A must do while in Toledo just for the magical views looking over the town plus the scenery on the way up and down. Easy and cheap to do on either the tourist train or hop on hop off bus... both which stop at the...More
This is a perfect place to take a picture with your group and understand the surroundings of the city of Toledo. Toledo was originally moved to the other side of the river by the Romans. They used the river as a natural defense against invaders....More

There is a Hop-on, Hop-off bus every 20 minutes. A day ticket costs 9€ for the day. Half price for pensioners. You can also get a 10% discount if you have your ticket from another city's hop-on, hop-off bus [It's a worldwide company called City Sightseeing - check Google]. It's one of the best value for money deals in Toledo. Ear phones are provided and commentaries are in multiple languages. The Tourist information office have details of all the stops. The Mirador is a viewpoint on the opposite side of the river where the bus stops and waits while you can get out and look or take photos. If you want to stay and visit a restaurant, you can get a later bus, but you have ample time to take photos and get back on the same bus.
I don't know about a bus that is not hop-on, hop-off.
