The city hasn't got the same small, cobbled and winding streets as a lot of old cities in Spain. But on the other hand, the amount of ugly souvenir shops and cheap eateries is also limited. Crossed the city a couple of times, didn't feel...More

We stayed in the centre of the old city and ate and walked around late at night. The atmosphere was great and the place was full of energy. Worth a stop when in northern Spain.

Very easy to navigate. Remember that most shops close for siesta so do your shopping early or after 4-5pm.

There is a wonderful atmosphere around this historic centre of Burgos. Beautiful architecture, the magnificent cathedral, lots of cafés and bars to sample the local tapas, wines and beers. Wander around the Plaza Mayor, Plaza Del Mio Cid, visit the museums, and take a lovely...More

A lovely place to wander and admire the architecture and open spaces. There are a lot of interesting buildings - especially the Cathedral. Unfortunately the Plaza Mayor is being renovated the moment so the construction work detracted from the appearance of the place.

A beautiful city, I remember it bustling with life over 30 years ago, sadly pedestianisation and nothing but Tourists and Tapas Bars has killed the city and turned it into a very ordinary theme park.

A wonderful historic city with a multitude of different architectures, buildings that capture your imagination but Oh the graffiti it's a stain on the overall view of the city and leaves a poor impression. The City Fathers should clamp down on the graffiti hooligans before...More

I believe you can park free up by the castle or possibly just below (a bit closer to town) . Although a bit steep is a short walk from there to town center. Suggest you also send an email to the Tourist Office.
