We stayed in the centre of the old city and ate and walked around late at night. The atmosphere was great and the place was full of energy. Worth a stop when in northern Spain.

There is a wonderful atmosphere around this historic centre of Burgos. Beautiful architecture, the magnificent cathedral, lots of cafés and bars to sample the local tapas, wines and beers. Wander around the Plaza Mayor, Plaza Del Mio Cid, visit the museums, and take a lovely...More

A lovely place to wander and admire the architecture and open spaces. There are a lot of interesting buildings - especially the Cathedral. Unfortunately the Plaza Mayor is being renovated the moment so the construction work detracted from the appearance of the place.

A beautiful city, I remember it bustling with life over 30 years ago, sadly pedestianisation and nothing but Tourists and Tapas Bars has killed the city and turned it into a very ordinary theme park.

Beuatiful old center makes for great walks or strolls. Worth the detour and enjoy the smaller andd larger squares with their bars and restaurants

Big enough to be interesting and varied and small enough to make it round on foot. A nice part of Burgos to explore at your leisure. You'll get cobbled streets, independent small shops, nice architecture, bronze statues and flats with glazed balconies.

I believe you can park free up by the castle or possibly just below (a bit closer to town) . Although a bit steep is a short walk from there to town center. Suggest you also send an email to the Tourist Office.
