It is a master-piece of Spanish gothic architecture, a symbol of the Castilla force in Spain. Its interior needs a quiet and slow visit to see the beautifulness of this church.

Visiting this cathedral is great if you have never seen a cathedral before... Cost is about 4 euros. You can stroll around and learn more about the history. But climbing the nearby Ironymus Tower is not included in this ticket. I bought a ticket to...More

Actually there are two Cathedrals, the old one being accessed through the new one. The Old Cathedral is Romanesque-Gothic. I think the most amazing feature inside is the height above the nave.

The old and new are all part of one facility. It's super interesting to visit both and see the differences.

This is attached to the new Cathedral, due to the earthquake in about 1755 in Lisbon. It is a remarkable piece of architecture and well looked after, everything is clean and not covered in 800 years of candle soot like so many across the continent....More

Make sure you "ooh and aah" appropriately! One of the most amazing churches I have been in while in Spain. Very unique.

The old cathedral dome dominates the sky line in Salamanca. It is very beautiful and the architecture is stunning. The old cathedral is surrounded by the new cathedral. You have to pay to visit the new cathedral - please see my separate review for that.

A beautiful space. It was full of history, beautiful architecture, and not a single roped-off tourist attraction. We were fortunate enough to be there during two small and lovely weddings. The view from the tower was wonderful. Worth the time!!

I found this smaller, older Cathedral to have more integrity and soul than its more ostentatious and newer neighbour.

Like the old town itself thequality of the workmanship throughout is stunning- the design, size, stonework, carvings, paintings and space. See the old cathedral to the side of the newer one. Both have their own charm. Don’t rush as there is much to see and...More

We were there in January and there was no line Even it there was a line it would be worth is because it is beautiful and we loved the tour to the steeple and viewing the rooftop of the cathedral and city.

Not certain but as a previous answer mentioned, services will be held over the Easter period. I would doubt that the usual tour will be running.
