I found you are interested in the view , go for the tower whose entrance costs only 2.5 euros vs 11 for the entire visit. The palacio is interesting, but if you have seen a lot of palacio interiors and are in a rush, just...More

So so beautiful, this castle is very Disney like. I was underwhelmed by the interior of the building until I went up to the tower. This is a additional to the Normal ticket which the attendant suggested I should get and I'm glad he did....More

This is one of the major destinations of Segovia. Very interesting and beautiful. Many picture opportunities, for sure!

This is a must see. The royal artillery college was housed here and this castle has a fine collection of armor from medieval times for history buffs. Great views can be had for those who are willing to climb the 150 steps to the towers!

We were unprepared for how beautiful and almost fairy-tale like this amazing palace/fortress would be - both the exterior and interior rival Neuschwanstein! As well, the Palace is full of wonderful exhibits, featuring period armour and weaponry, and boasts a marvelous view of the surrounding...More

This is a must see if you're in the town. Outside is very good you can see the remains of the moat surrounding part of the castle. The inside of the castle is well done and very informative.

Great introductory view of Segovia, at a place that is tough to get to by walking. Great place for family photo.

Damaged by a 19th centurry fire but faithfully restored to its medieval splendour. The audio guide is excellent, a piece of Segovia which represents the height of its importance.

This might be a silly question, but is this a different castle from the Alcazar? The photos look really similar to me. And do I have to enter the Alcazar to get here, or I can get there by walking around the castle?

It is the same site ... I'm not sure why it's listed twice on Tripadvisor, under different names. There is only one entrance, which leads directly in to the castle and museum.
Greetings! What is the easiest way to get to this castle? Is it possible to get somewhat close with a bus or is a taxi the best option? Is this castle known by other names as I cannot find any information with the name of "Mirador de la Pradera de San Marcos" other than tripAdvisor web hits. I am curious about admission prices (if they are any). The web site link on tripAdvisor does not seem to be an official website. Thanks!

You can take a taxi from the Acueducto, who'll wait for you to take pics of the superb view, for less than 10 Euros. Or if you've time and you're fit, you could do the interesting walk back below the castle and through the... More
