The Sagrada familia came alive for me

I have visited before but on my own. Now the interior is open and finished, Sandra was able to inform and enliven Gaudí's great masterpiece in the interesting and even funny way.

We had a terrible time with an inexperienced guide who has no time management and customer service. We spent 800 euro for 5-hour tour due to our cruise schedule. The guide went to the wrong terminal while we waited 20minutes (remember this was a 5-hour tour). Without knowing how far the distance is from site to site, she had us... More

Many thanks to Sandra for a wonderful visit to the Sagrada Familia. Her approach was just right for our group of four friends and I really appreciated the way she gave us the background beforehand, which led up to us actually going inside, when she was sensitive enough to our needs to let us wander round on our own for... If you want a top notch, different Barcelona walking tour look no further. Walking Planets is the best! Sandra, the initiator of WP, is the kind of tour guide you want to just hang out with, eat with, dance with and chat with over glasses of coffee or wine. She took my wife and I with older parents and our... More

We were a group of 10 people (3 families with teens and young adults). Our guide, Sandra was very professional, flexible and approachable. We enjoyed our visit in Barcelona.

We had a wonderful morning with Sandra, who showed us some of the sights in the old city, and then we visited the amazing Sagrada Familia. Sandra was incredibly knowledgable - she answered all our questions as well as providing us with just the right level of background information and historical context. We feel we got a real flavour of... More

Fun and informative, Sandra and Christina were both excellent guides. Full of local knowledge and a passion for their city, the guides of Walking Planets take you on a fascinating journey through history as you traverse Barcelona's twisting cobbled streets. An excellent tour, highly recommended

Sandra was terrific! She took us to the main sites as well as all sorts of out of the way places. She told us so much about the history and culture of Catalonia. And she was a lot of fun!

Ana was such a great guide! She was knowledgeable and was thorough in her explanations and information she provided. After seeing the beaches, we had enough time to ride up to the W Hotel and enjoy the views from that point. Highly recommend the bike tour of Barcelona!

Sandra is an amazing guide/owner offering the BEST of Barcelona with tons of knowledge. She delivered enthusiasm, history, passion, laughs, minute by minute. As a native of Barcelona, she has a heart for the history and the balance of old and new throughout the city. She nurtured our group to ensure our safety in the hustle and bustle of the... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
