Its a busy hub in the centre of town. You can find anything you want, and are offered plenty that you don't want. Its a good tip to hang onto your bag and be vigilant, but there are police literally everywhere! I felt safe.

Just use this as your freeway and dive off as much as you can , it's not as bad as it was, police are very good and the street sellers don't hassle you at all. Look confident, don't dawdle and just take in the sights!

Try and book a hotel on this stretch. Ours was the perfect location. There is a great ambiance here at all times of the day. Plenty to see and do.

I spent almost a month in Barcelona so of course, we felt obligated to spend some time on Las Ramblas. However, especially for people who have seen a decent amount of the city, it's incredibly touristy & crowded. There isn't much there you can't find...More

This place is amazing. It's super crowded in the hot months but still is a must go-to Barcelona destination. You can walk, take pictures, admire the architecture and culture, the people, have a glass of wine, have some tapas, buy souvenirs... I love it. I...More

Very busy and warnings about pick pockets but it is a must see! Great little shops off of the main walk and little stalls and restaurants along the walk. Great tourist spot for a browse and sangria!

Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry
riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard,
and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La
Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll
past impressive human statues and artists while others
take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at
one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic
Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and

The metro(subway) stop is actually in Plaza Catalunya, from where the La Rambla begins. You have two options, using the Green Line, L3 or the Red Line, L1.
