The last Gaudi house?

This is a wonderful building in which Gaudi seems to have been given a free rein. As I understand, it was his last completed project. It must have been mind blowingly expensive as it is full of hand crafted wood with not a single straight line. The interior is also his. Gaudi incorporated lots of clever ideas, such as the... More

First of all I don't know what "the skip the line" means. You still need to line up for the audio guide like others which is the actual line, but never mind. The house itself was nice, interesting architecture but I was expecting more to be honest. Very crowded, ppl line up for rooms as everyone listening the audio guide.... More

This was the first Gaudi property we visited in Barcelona. It was very interesting with a unique interior. Unfortunately, it was terribly crowded when we visited, which lessened the experience. It was interesting to see the contrast between this property and other Gaudi properties, like Casa Guell off La Rambla, which is much darker and more austere. Also, we toured... More

The rooftop architecture and views are superb, as is the journey up to get there. Didn't pick up the audio tour, preferring to wander the well marked out route without headphones. Lots to photograph both inside and out

I would recommend being there at 9 AM with ticket in hand. We went at 10:30 and it was so crowded inside that it was hard to enjoy. Gaudi was truly amazing in his thinking and creations.

Shouldn't miss this location. It shows the great talent of the artist. I woukd skip on the roof drink. Not worth it. You have to stand after climbing 5 floors and walking around

We toured the Casa Batllo by purchasing our tickets online. We bought the FastPass anytime to ease our visit. It was a fascinating visit, viewing the genius of Gaudi. Barcelona and Gaudi are synonymous, and this site is not to be missed. Does require some stair climbing, but it is well worth the effort. The virtual guide technology is unique... More

Together with la Pedrera (just in front in same street Paseig de Gracia) both buildings are original desined by Gaudi. Casa Batllo has keep Gaudi spirit and is a must visit if you like Gaudi stile.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
