Open since november 2007. Icebarcelona has become a must see in the Condal City. Frequented as much by locals as by tourists, the icebar is a perfect place to enjoy an original and very amusing experience.

The first ice bar at the beach in the world. A unique place at a temperature of -5ºC (20ºF), designed by internationally renowned artists.

The average visit lasts 45 minutes. While you are shivering with fun, you can relax on the terrace, perfect for an al fresco cocktail right in front of the Mediterranean sea.

Went for my partners birthday, yes it was a different experience but a small venue. Good to say we have done it, but wouldn't rush back.

We pre-booked as a group for a hen do activity. Arrival and entrance all went smoothly, Free cocktail when you get into the ice bar which was quite strong! The bar is currently Star Wars themed and the sculptures are amazing. It was a great experience - but it is a lot small that I was expecting!

Nice and interesting experience. There were -15 degrees inside and 30 outside and we received a free drink.

We went as a group of girls I prebooked we went straight in and had the ice bar to ourselves which was really cool. We just danced around on our own in there for ages and had a couple of cocktails- It was a cool (pardon the pun) activity before going on a night out in Opium down the road... More

Me and my partner visited, and I love how everything has a theme, including the drinks! We had a Luke Screw Walker which was pretty nice. It was freezing inside (as you can imagine) but there's little rugs on the seats so that you aren't too cold, the glasses were made out of ice which was pretty cool too! The... More

Star Wars themed ice bar which was -12. You could stay in however long you wanted. You get 1 free drink then it's €10 to buy another. When leaving we got a souvenir picture and free hot chocolate which was a nice touch. Although this ice bar is smaller compared to Amsterdam's I still enjoyed it!

Granted we visited in the early afternoon so the place was empty but paying €16.50 each to don a filthy jacket and gloves to enter a room no bigger than my living room, drink a severely watered down cocktail and leave after ten mins is not my idea of fun. Each to their own I suppose!

Been to a few different ice bars and this is one of my favourites! Had a Star Wars theme with lots of character sculptures made out of the ice.

it is lovely place to have a drink on the beach of Barcelona (almost next to the Olympic Yacht Club). Great & friendly service, lounge ambiance and good selection of drinks! those who would like to drink at minus 11C (but don't like to fly to Nordic countries), you can enjoy ICE ROOM...

Staying in Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica

Neighbourhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
