In 1995 Barcelona had no bike lanes, and very few people would ride bike around the city. In that year Bike Tours Barcelona (Un Cotxe Menys-Bicicletes) was created, and from the very beginning we have been working hard, together with the City Council, to promote cycling in Barcelona and to make the city safer and friendlier for cyclists.

Today in Barcelona, there are over 180 km of bike lanes, and the amount is still increasing.

Our 20 years experience, working with: Private costumers, Corporate Groups, D.M.C., Incoming travel agencies, and together with our proffesional guides, makes our company a reference in Barcelona, for guided bike tours and rental bike service.

Proud of our multilingual guides, they will take care of you and your customers during our bike tours.

This tour was one of the highlights in Barcelona. Our guide Marc was very good and we enjoyed every minute of it. Marc also shared recommendations for restaurants, museums and other stuff. A great way to see some more of Barcelona and also to learn a little about the history.

Being certified guide myself, I always like to explore the city using bike tours, and to gain some local knowledge for exploring the town in the coming days. Joana is great, knowledgeable, informative, great storyteller. Nice historical point of view during the whole tour, and I'm highly recommending Bike Tours Barcelona, real intro into this vibrant city (though is was... More

I really enjoyed this cycle ride around the central sights, churches and parks of Barcelona. Marc? was our tour guide and did an excellent job providing us with just enough information and reasily answering questions. We didn't feel rushed and it want like a tour de france. The bikes were well maintained. The group was small and friendly and all... More

We love to do city bike tours to get a feel for the area. We really enjoyed this tour! There were four of us, plus Marc. (Other bike tours had 20 plus people on them.) We saw a lot of the sights, heard some great history, got some exercise, rode along the waterfront. It was a great time and we... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
