We were so amazed about how our tour went with Barcelona Free Tours! We actually liked how we had to register with them instead of just showing up. It was easy, just a phone call and we had a place, which was good because we didn't want any surprises on our short visit. Our group was not at all overcrowded... More

My wife and I and another couple reserved this tour when we arrived in Barcelona. We found the tour to be well organised from the first email contact and during the tour as well. It was an elegant, professional tour with a guide that was top notch. We were really surprised of the high level of the tour. I don't... More

We loved this tour, it was so interesting! We were taken to the little unknown plazas of the Gothic Area and saw things we'd never find on our own! Our guide was great, really enthusiastic to show us everything and was so friendly with taking our photos for us and helping us with ideas for our remaining time in Barcelona.... More

With my brief stay in Barcelona, I signed up for this tour in advance before I came to Barcelona. I had no expectations, as it is free, and I was really blown away by the professional, informative and passionate guide we had. Group was small and it felt great not to be in a big crowd! I highly recommend this... More

We have done a few free tours and this one far exceeded our expectations, very very good and highly informative! Our guide even made recommendations of places to eat and things to do on our remaining days. All we had to do was call up and make a reservations (best to do it in advance) and show up, then we... We've been on a couple free tours before and we havn't had such a good professional experience as Barcelona Free Tours. We made a reservation (which I like better then just risking it and showing up) and had our tour secure. There were a total of 11 of us, perfect because it wasn't over-crowded, yet we had company to talk... More

We decided to do this free tour because it was near our hotel and the groups were said to be small, and true! our group was of 8 people and we were able to feel like we weren't in a huge group. Our guide was just wonderful, she knew so much and kept our attention. We gladly gave generous tips... More

We reserved a free tour with this company and it was excellent! Our guide spoke perfect non-accent English, took us all around the Gothic area with energy and interesting information. I couldn't believe this was a free tour with such a high quality! Since we reserved our tour, we weren't over-crowded due to limited spaces, it wasn't a jam packed... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
