Fascinating shop and the process of buying was talking to the shop person more than browsing shelves , old school.

I purchased a 50 Magic Tricks box , some really cool stuff in there but the DVD that came with the box does not work. It was meant to have a video explaining how to do the tricks... read more

A very cool magic store over 100 years old. We didn't buy anything but if you do they take you into the back and teach you how the trick works.

We might have been expecting something else. The shop is very small. Everything is in show cases so you can't actually see anything. Wll we got were directions to their magic museum and magic show. Maybe a pro would find it interesting. We were out in under 5 minutes (including a little magic trick the shop attendant showed us).

I'm so sorry Mica. The problem of magic shops is that magic objects are only magical when they are in a magicians hands It is a pity you did'nt see more magic. Usually, when you want to buy an effect Rosa and Sara ask you a few questions about your previous knowledge and perform several efects. I hope that if... More

Our son is a professional magician, and we stopped by this unique shop in Barcelona's Barri Gotic at his request. Located in a narrow side street, it radiates a mysterious old-school vibe that just draws you in. The interior is chock full of magic tricks, spooky objects... everything a magician might need. We weren't able to talk with the proprietor,... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
