This is a lovely church which is worth spending some time in. There is quite a bit of historic interest in this part of Barcelona if you are walking in this area.

One of the cathedrals in the old quarter of Barcelona. Very impressive from the outside and inside. I passed by million of times and went in for the first time only yesterday. Very peaceful.

Visitors to the Barri Gotic will likely come across this basilica and because the facade is nothing extraordinary, some may wonder if it is worth the small entry fee to enter. The interior is similar to the exterior in that it doesn’t have some of...More

I came across this basilica by chance. Although it doesn't carry the splendour of Sagrada Familia, it's a massive church that is free to visit, and worth spending a few minutes admiring.

Beautiful but busy, it's over 30 years since I was last here, but definitely worth the revisit. Much, much busier than it was 30 years ago!

I preferred this to the cathedral. It is less ornate, but still remains impressive. In other words: more substance and less "bling". Well worth a visit.

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

I went in July and there was no charge to go inside the church. It was €3 to go to the roof, but it was definitely worth it!

if you are having difficulty getting an answer from the church perhaps you could contact the diocese?
