We rented an apartment for 5 days in Eixample to enjoy a quick holiday in Barcelona. We could not have been happier with both the apartment and the location. We are ardent walkers, so we expect to do 5-7 miles a day. We found that...More

Although out hotel was in L'Eixample (Chic and Basic: Velvet on Concell de Cent) we traveled mostly to other districts for dinner and sight seeing. We felt safe and comfortable right near the Parc de Joan Miro'. We did visit Gaudi's Sagrada Familia which was...More

We stayed in this area and even the apt we rented was increadible. Carved walls- elaborate staircases, magnificent balconies. Its the perfect place to be to explore the city. Suggest you look for accomodations in this area.

This is a beautiful area full of wonderful buildings in the Art Deco style.. There are so many photo opportunities. Full of lovely restaurants and bars for a relaxing tapas or drink to take a break from exploring.

We stayed in The Mirror on Carrer Corsage which is close to everything in the district. Loads of decent restaurants, bars and cervicerias in the area and close enough to Las Rambles and El Diagonal. Stunning buildings and a great base for a few days.

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you
enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally
translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes
recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant
atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district,
Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end
international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the
glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best
