Known for its many outdoor venues, restaurants and nightclubs, Placa Reial is a popular meeting place during the summer when open air concerts take place, and during other celebrations such as New Year’s Eve.
Located just off of Las Ramlba this popular square, contains several fountains, lots of palm trees and is surrounded by restaurants and bars, I took the opporunity to stop while on a walking tour of the city
We arrived there by accident walking through the Gothic district. It was night and we were amazed. It's a place to love and to be loved. Romantic, beautiful with a sense of mystery. Worth visiting at night
This is a beautiful and picturesque square with traditional Catalan buildings, architecture, central fountain and Gaudi lantern. There are many restaurants that surround the square for you to enjoy too.
Another of the many plazas in the city. This one is in the old part of town so it has a bit more charm than the Plaza de Espanya. Worth as visit when you're in the old city and many restaurants if you're hungry.
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
