Having a private tour guide was nice because we could site see at our own pace, at a time that is convenient for our schedule, and ask questions through out. The private tour with Aleksandra was on our first day in Barcelona and it was wonderful being able to get to places without stopping at every street corner to check... More

My family enjoyed ourselves immensely in Barcelona. Aleksandra made sure we experienced what we had listed for the holiday. The private van rides were smooth and made sure we kept to our visit schedules. The guided walks were fun and informative. We wished we could have spent more days in Barcelona. But we went back home with fond memories and... More

We were fortunate to have had Alexsandra the first two days of our trip to Spain. She does a great job. We had her for one full day and one half day. There is no way You could get as much in as we did for the time spent. We had planned our trip about A year ago and found... More

We did 3 tours with Aleksandra and all 3 were informative and enjoyable. She certainly knew her history. I highly recommend Orange Donut Tours as a way to see Barcelona and it's surrounding area.

We chose Orange Donut Tours due to the good Tripadvisor ratings. Aleksandra was great before the trip, answering the many logistical questions I had. She was on time to pick us up with a luxury mercedes benz and driver to take us around. She was spot on with all the timings, sights to see and a good mix of old... More

Four of us, travelling together, had just one day to see our top priorities in Barcelona. It was an intense day, 10 hours, Gaudi, Picasso, Montjuic, the Gothic quarter, and Joan Miro. Gemma was excellent for the first part of our tour - she walked us through the Gothic Quarter, giving us Barcelona's history, then led us through the Picasso... More

Aleksandra was very knowledgeable and kept us hopping. We had a private car and driver who did a terrific job all things considered navigating the streets of Barcelona. Don't even try to drive here! She had our passes for us and took us to the highlights of the city. We spent a full day with her. We would highly recommend... More

Aleksandra was so nice and helpful from enquiry, to booking and concluding the tour. We did half a day and said a couple of places we wanted to see and then left Aleksandra to show us places we wouldn't know were there! She was relaxed and knowledgeable about the city and we didn't use all our transport tickets which she... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
