Address
Neighbourhood: Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

I had the Tracer 7 and it was fantastic! They spoke good english what was very helpful. The only parameters were 100 km south and 100 km north of barcelona. Had the bike for four days, did coastal ride north, then toured the two nature parks north of barcelona; Sant llorenç and Montseny. On the way back i rode past the circuit the Cataluna (not on it) it was awesome. Only point is maybe a closed or sport helmet for the motorway. Could pay by cash or card what was nice. Overall had an amazing experience!

We didn't have a reservation but phoned them to asked if they still had a scooter for the same day. They said 'yes' so we went all the way to their shop. However, when we were in the shop, we noticed them discussing in Spanish and then they suddenly increased all the advertised prices, likely because they knew we needed urgently a scooter that day.
On top of that they were rude and unfriendly. We felt like being in a tourist trap and decided not to take the scooter. Instead we went to 'Vespa Soul'; there we were treated in the opposite way: we got a scooter at a fair price and the staff was extremely friendly.

Came to Barcelona for 3 days with my girlfriend, i ride a harley everyday so off course 2 wheels would be my preferred way of transport.
Reserved a scooter over the internet with this agency.
On the day to pick up, was served by a french guy, black hair, medium built, which "forgot" to mention important details about the service...
He was very eager though to rent as many vehicles as possible, so when another couple came in, he just filled up the paper work in a rush and sent another employee to show me the scooter.
To start, tank had only 2 marks of petrol, contract said full tank... Cheeky...
Off we go, next day we decided to visit vilasar del mar, 28km north of barcelona, went to the beach and on way back to the scooter realised the back tyre was flat.
I called the agency, spoke to a guy with a french accent, which by the voice was pretty sure was the same guy(but could be wrong) explained i had a flat tyre and asked for advice.
He said he would send a truck, but because i was outside of barcelona it would cost me 20 euros plus the repair of tyre.
I enquired about the insurance, and was told that i shouldnt have taken the scooter out of barcelona(although the contract specified that there was unlimited milage- with no extra charge for travelling out of Barcelona!!)
He insisted i was told when picking up the scooter, which i wasnt.
Trying to sort the situation out, i suggested i would find a place to fix it, take a receipt and get reimbursed at the moment of delivery.
Now the epic moment!
I was told I was responsible for it and should pay for it; after all a tyre doesn't puncture on its own specially after only 1 day with us- I must have deliberately done something to the tyre!
Not only this, i was also told in a very suggestive tone of voice that I should just pay for it, keep quiet and bring the scooter back!
Of course i told him we would deal about the matter in person.
Got the tyre fixed, and for my surprise it didn't actually happen out of the blue, the tyre and tube where both in very bad shape, 3 other old punctures where already on the tube, and residue of anti puncture liquid was present! This my friends i have in writing on a formal invoice signed by the mechanic who fixed the scooter and would be happy to share a copy with whomever is interested, just send an email: leonborja@me.com
After coming here to write this review i read other reviews and saw a very similar one where they tried to pass on a faulty suspension bike to a guy who manage to spot the trick!
So yes, they are renting out faulty vehicles and trying to pin on tourists. Viva la internet!!!
Tomorrow before i take the scooter back i will pop in the police station and ask for some advice and make a complaint about the shop, dont know if it will help at all, but thought i would share my frustration here with you guys.
RENT AT THIS PLACE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Regards

These guys are cheats and frauds. They charged the entire deposit of $500 because of scratches on one of 3 bikes my son and his friends rented. These people should be avoided and criminally charged. They have been doing this sort of stuff for some time now. Avoid them!!! Report them!! I am going to report them to the credit card company..

I made a reservation with Barcelona Moto Rent on the 19th of Dec for the 24th to the 28th of January. Arrived at their shop only to find out that the shop was closed for repair works. No sign of repairs, no sign of people. Went on their website to find out that the shop was closed till the 31st of January. I was not advised of this, i had a reservation pending and was not informed, I am still waiting to hear from them having left them numerous voice messages and emails.
I wouldn't recommend this company as I was going for 3 days to Barcelona and had no scooter, which was my preferred method of seeing the sites.

We went there our last day at our stay in Barcelona. And the only thing we regret is not going there earlier! I've been in Barcã a handfull visits earlier. But i have never seen so much in so little time. We talked about getting on a tour bus but i strongly recommend a scooter rental! And with just a little search we found out that Barcelona Moto Rent was the place with many different bikes and good prices. And the personell is very friendly and good! Perfect service and good guiding to where we could go. We went to the Castell de Montjuïc and what a view! Much better to ride up there than to go with a crowded cabel car ride. I wanna thank the good personell at Barcelona Moto Rent, and hopefully see you soon again!

Me and my boyfriend rented a 125cc for the weekend and it was great!
It was a Peugeot in very good conditions and they also gave us two helmets which were very clean, both included in the price.
Visiting Bcn with a scooter is the best way to enjoy the city and its Mediterranean vibe. We felt like 'Catalans' for a couple of days just going around with our scooter -by the way the scooters have no stickers on them.
We also called them to have an information on a place in town and they helped us out over the phone.
Summing up: great service and friendly staff! We are both 100 satisfied!!! :)

The vespa Club del Mediterraneo rented 17 scooters from Barcelona Moto Rent for a 10 day riding tour of the Pyrenees. Processing the 17 riders took about 30 mins, and turn in was equally swift. The staff assisted with an overview of the scooter, with which we were unfamiliar, mounting GPS devices, pre-ride scooter checks and the like. The scooters were nearly new and served us very well at the high mountain altitudes. Ludo and his staff were prepared to provide rapid roadside service (which was not needed), even though we would be a few hundred kilometers away from his shop, as the scooters were our only form of transportation as we rode Spain, Andorra and France. We are an experienced scooter touring club (Vespa Club del Mediterraneo) with members from several countries, and are very selective in choosing a rental shop. Barcelona Moto Rent met or exceeded our needs in every respect, and we recommend them highly - be you a beginner or advanced rider. Thank you to Ludo and all the staff for a flawless experience.
