This is not to be missed. It is an amazing journey through the development of technology to create moving images. There are brilliant displays of shadow puppetry, zoetropes, magic lanterns, editing machines and cameras. This truly is a hidden gem in the city of Girona.

Don't miss this museum! It tells the story of story-telling via images. It starts with the first play with shadows around the fire in the caves and proceeds to the 21st century. You can experience hands-on the beautiful devices that were used throughout the ages...More

This museum is full of excellent hands-on exhibits that document and explain how film was developed. It focuses on the technical development rather than the artistic development. So, if you are a film buff looking for information about famous actors and films, you may be...More

This museum is packed full of film memorabilia taking you through the history of cinema, with some hands-on exhibits. A really impressive collection and I learnt lots of stuff I didn't know. Well worth a visit.

Very interesting. Had never logically connected how cinema and photography evolved. Sone interesting artifacts.

I was happy to find myself spending well over an hour there. I’ll give you the overall story: Beginning with shadow puppetry, figuring out how light and lenses work, towards animations, and then the movies, home movies, and in the end the television. I suppose...More

We loved this, small, informative and interactive with 11 & 13 yr olds. The 47 yr olds loved it too! Easy to find, helpful staff.

This place was deceptively large inside, lots of exhibits dating right from the very early days of film making right up to the modern day. Some interesting props and costumes from films and bits to play with and interact with which is always good for...More
