A fantastic outlook over the city, but it's not flat ! Be ready for some steep slopes. Best from Eastern end near Placa Catalunya, gets a bit bitty near the cathedral.

Good walk with amazing view Little difficult to find stairs going up the wall, had to ask for directions several times, long stairs but then an easy walk with any kind of shoes

Quite a nice walk and some lush views of the city to get some nice pictures. Only down side was you has to walk all the way back along the wall to get down which wasn't too nice in boiling hot weather.

Great views of the city and easy to include as part of a city walking tour. Walk the wall, then return through old town to cathedral.

Wonderful walk along walls. Very quiet in October, so can't comment on what it would be like on a busy weekend.

A great way to get a different perspective on beautiful Girona. The only downside was the overpowering stench of urine at the stairs to some of the towers.

Although it was 30 deg and could be tricky underfoot it was well worth the effort. There are several places you can descend from the wall and grab a coffee form a local cafe.

Good and well maintained although steep in places so need to be mobile. Great view and attractive surrounding gardens in places

A must for all able bodied visitors to this lovely city! The most amazing views! Felt like I was walking the Great Wall of China, but obs on a much smaller scale!

Hi there We actually went from Canet de Mar by train and changed trains at some remote place I can't remember, but then got off in Girona where we walked all over from where we stayed right in the centre. Never used any... More

I would include Besalu. Take the bus from just off the Passeig de Gracia. Take the bus from there to Girona and train back to Barcelona. Very nice day trip.

I agree with the prior answer and would add that there is often live musicians in the ruins/park behind the cathedral. It is slightly uphill from the back of the church. Girona is a world class bicycling City, I would find a... More
