Obligatory if you go to Girona. This is a very interesting place and you can enjoy a really nice view of Girona, of course it is important for its historical context too. You will just need little disposition because the path between the towers and...More

It was a nice place to visit. Quite narrow but cute promenade with view of the city. Highly recommended.

An excellent easy walk that allows you to see a lot of the town from a high vantage point. Personally, I would recommend starting at the southern end and walking towards the cathedral because that way the views get better as you proceed.

This is an opportunity not to be missed. It's a tough walk with LOTS of steps but well worth the effort as the view is amazing.

Nothing fantastic, but Girona is good as a day trip out of Barcelona. Trains from Barcelona seem to be of two general kinds: the fast ones take about 38 minutes, but the slow ones take well over an hour. There is about one fast train...More

This is a great walk along the top of the old city walls. To get here, you'll need to find a way up, either from the South end just beyond Pont De Pedra, or to the North up the hill on the cobbled streets not...More

I would include Besalu. Take the bus from just off the Passeig de Gracia. Take the bus from there to Girona and train back to Barcelona. Very nice day trip.

I agree with the prior answer and would add that there is often live musicians in the ruins/park behind the cathedral. It is slightly uphill from the back of the church. Girona is a world class bicycling City, I would find a... More

This is a great place to visit. It is not a complete wall around the old city. In other words, you do not end up where you started. You can start at either end, but the wall slopes slightly so if you start at one end you... More
