If you are at all interested in architecture, interior design, or Art Nouveau I recommend a visit to Casa Maso. The interior of the house as designed and remodeled by Maso can only be visited by a guided visit. The visit can be in English and the guide was excellent, giving many details about the Maso family, and his work... More

This place reminded me very much of Verona/Venice. It's a beautiful place and definitely worth the walk around to see it.

If you visit Girona you will definitely see these nicely colored buildings when you pass through any bridge on Onyar River. The scenery is colorful and fun to watch. Just go and take some pictures.

Casa Masó is an Art Noveau House located in the historical center of Girona, next to the Onyar River, where Masó, the architect, lived during a lot of years. In fact, it is one of the typical houses of Girona (the white and characteristic house), which you can see over the river from any bridge of the city. Here you... More

Anyone who admires Charles Rennie MacIntosh; Art Noveau or the Arts & Crafts movement will enjoy this. We booked in advance on-line but it probably was not necessary as we got the equivalent of a private tour.

Very unusual peek into Girona history and architecture. This is (I believe) the only river house available for viewing. If you're in Girona, do stop by. The guide we had was lovely and knowledgeable.

Book ahead so you can get a tour in the language you speak. Our guide was very willing to answer our questions in English. The tour includes several rooms and much information about Rafael Masó, including a short video. Excellent views of beautiful Girona from this house on the river. And if you have visited Gaudí's works in Barcelona, this... More

This needs to be booked ahead. The rooms are small and groups have to be small. Exquisite to have the period details intact. Maso's style is decorative

Very interesting house to visit with an excellent guided tour. Group size is limited so it is essential to pre book online. We really enjoyed the opportunity to see inside an authentic riverside home and it was in immaculate condition. Loved it.

we had never heard of this architect prior to planning our visit, but decided to book a tour, you must do this as it is only open at specific times. We were the only 2 people but our guide was very interesting and knowledgable, answered all our questions competently. A very interesting visit. It was good to see one of the... More
