Great funicular railway - not too long to wait to get on the train - great views on the way up to the top and lovely walks from there onwards - well worth a visit!

From the station you can take the modern funicular San Joan to reach the top to Montserrat; very nice views over the Valley, and Penedes and the sanctuary of Montserrat.

This railway is pretty amazing. The views are stunning. It’s really steep but the tracks are specially made for traction. Much better than a car ride.

We were going climbing at Montserrat and took the Funicular to the base of the climbs. Saved us an hour hike each way with all our gear. It was extremely convenient and made it so that we could do much more that day.
