There are 2 ways to reach Montserrat and we chose the aerial. From Barcelona we went to metro Espanya. Without exiting the metro we walked to the railway and took the train to Montserrat. Once there we took aeri. It is a funicular that brings...More

This was difficult for my kids...the adults crowded them out and they ended up in the center and couldn't see a thing. Probably just the people we were around, but had I to do it over, I would have taken the train up instead of...More

We did not have to wait long and cable car only half full. It was a thrilling experience to ride and see breathtaking views of the mountains both sides and Llobregat River and Valley.

We arrived by car and parked in their large parking lot. I know from experience that the drive up to the monastery by car along the seemingly never ending, windy road is sickening..literally, so this was the only option for me. The Aeri is quick,...More

I think Aeri is the most fun way to reach Montserrat and it absolutely worth the price. If you are coming from Barcelona, you should board at the Plaça d'Espanya station for train R5. You can buy a combined ticket at the station for a...More

When we bought our tickets for Montserrat at the train station in Barcelona, you had to decide cable car or funicular. Well for us there was no question...cable car. The views are spectacular as you can imagine. If you can be first in a group...More

Spectacular way to visit the Monastery. I’m not that keen on heights but was totally fine with this. If you can skip a ride and be first in queue then you get to be at the front :)

The teleférico is worth every penny (as long as your transportation is waiting for you when you arrive). Beautiful views of the park and the monastery. Talk about coming down the mountain!

I'm not sure about the station in Calella, but I got my combo ticket at the Pl. Espanya station in Barcelona. You could try to connect there. Be sure to go early; there is plenty to do at Montserrat.
