The 2nd Century B.C.E. Roman Walls of Tarragona are worth seeing. The British added ramparts during the War of the Spanish Succession in 1707. The walls and ramparts are well maintained. It is a pleasant stroll along the base of the Roman wall and on...More

We went here as part of our trip to Tarragona at Christmas. We rather like walled cities (Lugo is my favourite) and we were interested to see how Tarragona compared against the rest. We used a Tarragona card, which allows you entrance into half a...More

Part of the old roman walls of the city , its a gate that's still in use today. Its a nice photo opportunity and then best to move on around the old town. Not really worth spending too much time at the gate.

This passage goes outside the walled Roman city and gives you some idea of the buildings and area. Much better to see the museums, Circ and Collisium

So different from the two previous sites, but well worth it. Slightly hard to find the entrance, but you get some lovely views of the city.

All of the buildings and monuments in this town are fantastic and we had a nice drink in a little cafe not far from this.

I believe this is part of the archeological walk around the old town of Tarragona, where you can see, and get access to, some of the Roman city wall tops, gates and towers. It is a great little town to explore.

We visited here as part of the all day family ticket and spent about half an hour wandering around. There are some good views from the walls and enough to see to fill up a bit of time after lunch!

An hour train ride from Barcelona brings you to Tarragona. This is a popular destination for residents of Barcelona for weekend beach trips. For tourists, it is a draw because of the multitude of Roman ruins. A walk around the old city is a walk...More

Depending what you like, its either a historical gem, or an average walk. The walls themselves are pretty impressive, and one time continues all the way to the port. You can buy a single attraction ticket for the walk, or a 4 entry ticket that...More
