We found the garden walking back from the beach and were very much impressed. Great place for sitting, strolling and people watching.

Nice place to visit here and well maintained and clean. The cafe bar here is ideal to if you want to get a Beer and and watch the world go by..

Although these gardens are way better than San Carlos Gardens, they are still rather small for a city this size. Centrally located right by the cruise port and promenade they are a welcome cool shady pleasant retreat from the city.

My wife and I walked around the Gardens of Mendez Nuñez and enjoyed our walk there. The garden had various monuments for men and women prominent as writers or politicians. The flower beds were well maintained and also the fountain.

The park itself doesn't continue to Raizor. If you are in the park and want to go to the beach(Raizor), you can cut through the city center along Rua Juana de Vega. This will get you to Praza Pontevedra. From here it is a... More
