Great historical square. dripping with history and great to get a guided tour. most of the tour guides speak very very quickly so need to get them to slow down a bit.

Unfortunately the main entrance to the Cathedral on the praza is undergoing renovations for the next few years. The scaffolding on the Cathedral detract from the the large praza. It can be amusing at times to watch the young pilgrims flow into the space singing...More

The Plaza gous hand in hand with the Cathedral. It is part of the Centre of Old Town. Make sure you see the Ladies with the red umbrellas for a free walking Tour of the Town. Its 2 hours long and starts at 11.00 am....More

The plaza attracts thousands of tourists and pilgrims who have completed whatever Camino they have undertaken. It is thus a venue for much joy and happiness.

The best way to see this lovely square is to sit at the Terrace bar of the Parador and watch the world go by. It is a beautiful place with so much going on.

A very nice place in Santiago de Compostela, right next to the cathedral and where you can see the main facade (wich unfortunately now it is covered as it goes under restauration).
