Pleasant Place to Have a Picnic

Just a short stroll away from the city and cathedral, is this wonderful open space. With great views of the town a nice spot for a picnic.

If having a longer stay in Santiago and wanting a quiet location away from the crowds and some views of the Santiago skyline, this is a good choice.

Great place to take a rest after wandering around the city. It's between the Centro historico and the shopping area. I sat with an ice cream and watched the beautiful swans. Awesome views from the Mirador.

You can see the steeples from here...there are some interesting statues (chap who lost his hand to a angry husband and the two eccentric sisters) Nice place for a picnic....

The old town of Compostela is really quite small and accessible, so this mirador is not far away if you are at the cathedral, perhaps a slow walk of 10-15 minutes. Go for it! The park is filled with people of all ages who love to stroll, rest from the city streets, and take photos with the cathedral at a... More

Park is very beautiful and peaceful. Very nice place to have a rest and amazing view of the old town. Make sure not to miss it when you visit Santiago.

Well maintained park. Nice place for peaceful stroll. Many old mature trees. Big enough for a jog. Lovely to just sit and listen, look or read.

The park is nice but the church in the middle of it isn't taken care of well and people ignore the no loose dogs sign making it difficult for other people with animals that don't want to be bothered by other pets with free range.

I really liked this park. The gardens were beautiful as were the views of the city. The park was very easy to navigate and had so many benches. Here is my advice: Grab an ice cream and find a seat.

Beautiful park near to the old town. Easy walking under the trees offering a little shade if needed. Lovely views and a great place relax and wile away a few hours.

Thank Joe B
