I was a little disappointed with this beach and sea. I understand the popularity of the beach however the sea was full of sea weed and couldn’t swim properly. Wouldn’t recommend this if you’re looking for a quiet spot!

A wonderful day on the beach. A little windy but it was the end of May. Not crowded by any means this time of year but imagine the summer would be insane. Sand is clean and soft, plenty of space, water cold but inviting, sunset...More

A great, spacious beach not as crowded as the nearby playa Samil. Great place to swim, sunbathe and relax. There are a few bars and restaurant nearby too if you get hungry.

Clean sand, sheltered beach, near Roman ruins. A great place to contemplate sunset on Vigo Bay, The only eye sore being the large towering building on Illa de Toralla which should never have been built in this idyllic location.

Very nice beach. I prefer other places at this coast but playa del Vao is not bad although it is a bit crowded specially in August.

A very Nice beach not too far away from the city It wasn't packed which was a bonus but i reckon it gets busier in following months.

Great beach, beautiful sand and an incredible sunset. The water is cold but that's the case for all beaches in the northwest.

Not walking distance, you could get there quickly by taxi though. Not sure if there are direct buses.
