Yes, you can hike the Mediterranean Steps--the quintessential Gibraltar nature experience for the hale and hearty—even if you’re coming from a cruise ship. As long as you have 6-8 hours in port, don't get daunted by the fact the starting point is a hard-to-find outpost...More

High heeled shoes are no good for this walk so come prepared! The walk from Jews gate up to the top is hard but the views make it worthwhile. There is lots of history on the way up in terms of caves and building left...More

Parked in the cable car car park and walked up to Jews Gate. Steep road walk to warm the legs and then once you get to the barrier then the challenge really begins. Most of our group completed in 20-30 mins from this point, sweaty...More

Certainly one of the best ways to see the southern end of the rock. It took us under 3 hours from town to hike the trail, then back down Charles V wall. Not for the unfit though!

Living in Andorra and walking everyday I am pretty fit but this was still a decent walk. The views are magnificent and well worth the effort. If you don’t fancy it up try getting the cable car and walking down. We stayed in Gib for...More

Race the steps this is a challenge to race the war time steps to the summit of the The Rock of Gibraltar. Great view of a very loyal part of the UK and Long may it remain so to benefit both Gibraltar and Spain.

Take the steps right into downtown. You’ll end up just a block from the busy main st where you can get a bite to eat with a refreshing drink.

We decided to walk the Steps this morning as penance for an excellent dinner last night at the Waterfront Restuarant in Queensway. The food, drink and company was exceptional and couldn't go unpunished :) At least time time we remembered to take water for the...More

Just go for a walk slash climb and see the Mediterranean from a new perspective. You will need to wear good sturdy shoes and expect to get sweaty. Enjoy.

Not suitable at all for children at all. Its not steps it's a very step track with ropes at some points to pull yourself up. it's a sheer drop down to the sea as well. you wouldn't do it in a day with young children. think... More

The walk to the Steps begin at Jews Gate which is near the end of Engineer Road. There is a charge for access to the upper rock reserve, but it will be well worth it if the weather is fine. Take plenty of water and use some... More
