Did a wine tasting of the 2 Reservas. They were okay but pricey. Downside of this place is that there are so many rules. We couldn’t try or buy the white wine unless we bought 5 bottles of red. They also didn’t have any Gran...More

As California residents who have visited numerous wineries worldwide, this was by far was one of the best tours we have ever had the pleasure on being on. Elena, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the wine, family history, and winemaking process. The tour included...More

The winery was one of the best I have ever seen! They have all Vintages from 1877-present. Maria Jose Lopez De Heredia is one of the most generous, kind, and knowledgeable people in the wine business. Their wines are incredible and classic.

Our group of 10 had the best bodega visit at Lopez de Heredia during our Rioja trip. This is the most traditional Bodega and the visit was like going back in time. No Stainless Steel vats or clinical facilities here. Our guide Ignacio was absolutely...More

Did a wine tour in June and had to make a reservation well beforehand. Excellent host, very informative, tour was about an hour and half long including tasting. Superb wine. Would buy more if we could.

This was one of the best tours in Haro. This is one of the original wineries in Spain. Amazing history and great wines. We went there and really enjoyed our guide (Maria?) as well as Ignazio who was in their tasting room. This is not...More

We visited the winery due to a recommendation of a friend who lives in Madrid and knows his way through most of the bodegas in the area. He told us that this one was outstanding because of the traditional approach of wine making and history....More

This is an exceptional winery that has held steadfast to traditional ways when so many wineries in Spain have sold out to Parker points and New World tastes! This is a fantastic tour and you will learn how this winery does everything it’s self including...More

We went the last week in June for the wine festival of Haro, and I would recommend anytime other than that. It was interesting but mostly for the 16-24 yr olds.

They take place most days, You need to book in advance which you can do on their web site. I think it cost 12 Euros (could be wrong) but each person gets a bottle or Reserva Rioja to take away.

I don't think they offer private tours but you can ask when you make your reservations. There is no restaurant on site but there are some not far away and in the "horse shoe". Enjoy! You won't be disappointed.
