Nice to walk around puerta del sol, the kids loved all the shows displayed in form of art or performance. Very dirty.

Lots of great restaurants, bars and shops in this area. Street entertainers, beggars and street hawkers on Plaza! Very busy area and a bit noisy at night! Good Police presence, so felt quite safe. Enterance to Metro station on Plaza. Statues and fountains on Plaza...More

The center of the action. Lots of things going on at all times. A bit of Times Square. Street performers (some amazing) and near to many bars and restaurants.

Puerta del Sol is one of these lovely squares you cross whilst wounding around as a tourist. Also full of live and closed to coffee places and shops.

What is the name of the hotel? I was thinking of another hotel in a different city when I responded. Puerta del Sol is a plaza in Madrid.
