On par with New York’s Central Park. Filled with people enjoy greenery in the middle of the urban setting. Great for strolling or sitting in a terrace enjoying a cold beer or ice cream while watching the parade of people go by.

We visited this beautiful park while having a few days in Madrid, it is a lovely clean and tranquil place to walk around and enjoy the surroundings with lakes, gardens, monuments and the Palacio de cristal building.

The park is open most of the day and free to enter. It is a big park, but it is not too busy so you can just wander around. There are plenty of seats, lots of fountains and good amounts of shade.

Must see if you come to visit Madrid. Big park with big avenues near the best neighbourhoods of Madrid. Nice monuments.

Visited Retiro Park twice this week. So refreshingly beautiful. Seeing the beauty, astonishing settings, kids and families playing, rowboats on the lake, artwork (everywhere!) and glass house was almost surreal. I felt like I was in a live fairy tale.

Definitely worth a visit but leave plenty of time to wonder as it is massive. Lots of greenery and paths to jog or stroll and swings all within such beautiful surroundings

Make sure to visit for an hour of lovely relaxation. We watched the row boaters and street performers. Fun time
