Not as large as the Atocha Station but just as clean and organized for the train traveller. All the travel times are digitized and puctually displayed. Excellent security.

Big station-well organised. Took a train to Valladolid- that left on time. I had a reservation for a train but another train was leaving earlier. The hostess took me to the Ticketing office and explained to him. he was courteous and helpful. Within a few...More

I woke up one morning with the desire to see historic Segovia, after finding myself bored with Madrid. I had no idea how to get to Segovia so I did some research and found out there is a fast train leaving from Chamartin quite often...More

The public transportation for the City of Madrid is easy to use. Clean. The subway lets you access the entire city, cheaply and easily. The trains run pretty frequently I don't think I ever waited more than 5 minutes for a train.

Chamartin Station is situated in a residential area and not City Centre. It is located just off the motorway. It is closer to the airport than the city centre.

Chamartin train station seems to service locations going north of Madrid, such as Segovia, Leon, and Gijon. Easy cab ride and drop off at main station doors, and taxi pick-up is same location out the main doors. Easy to navigate as all platforms run off...More

Okay, here is the deal. If you are staying in Madrid and looking to visit Segovia, you should use the high speed Renfe (AVE). Some helpful hints: 1. You must take the Madrid Chamartin Station to visit Segovia. We were staying in the Prado Museum...More
