Saw this church by chance- and it turned out to be a Cathedral! It was nice to visit and the Blessed Sacrament was open. So many saints that I do not know. Just read thru their names. Beautiful churches but no one inside to pray.

We stumbled across this cathedral in a back street when it was closed and went back so that we could have a look inside, it was worth it. Beautiful interior and very peaceful.

It was interesting to learn that this is all that remains of a monastery of nuns. It was damaged in past conflicts but has been beautifully restored. The fine granite façade is impressive. Moving inside the Baroque style is lovely. Viewing along the ornate nave...More

We stumbled upon this church by accident, while we were walking towards Almudena. While the church itself was not that amazing, with simple decorations and not that good acoustics, we found the Maltese Cross on its façade fascinating, so we went in. However, none of...More

La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique
personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly
old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among
charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like
yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is
characterized by a young population and a bohemian
vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection
of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other
