The Plaza is incredible and at Christmas the lights are amazing. People and cars everywhere give it such great energy. The best bit? Take the lift to the observation deck of the Cibele Palace and the view will take your breath away..
This plaza has my most favorite fountain in the world, the setting and the surrounding buildings are just majestic. You also need to visit this plaza at night, the lighting of the fountain and surrounding buildings is phenomenal. Can't miss it.
Another Palace for me please.. Cybele Palace in Madrid in the Plaza with the same name. Is the seat of the City Council, has a cultural center, its architecture is truly royal and offers an extraordinary view of the city from the top.

The only thing I can remark is the traffic situation: it's a complete chaos. Other than that, you have the Cibeles Fountain *and* Palace here, the Casa Americana, and the Thyssen museum. You can easily identify the tourists as they (me included) walk from one...More
