This is a beautiful place. Well worth a trip if you're in Madrid. Don't miss going to the dome for the panoramic views. Great value for €1.

I came across the Basilica by accident, as the dome dominates the skyline. I didn’t;t go inside the building, but returned at night as it’s illuminated.

Stunning piece of architecture and history. Very clever artisans who designed this cathedral. Unfortunately it was closed for restoration. The outside was amazing. Hint: allow time more. Good camera
