A quick and an ecological way to reach Casa de Campo. Excellent views of the Royal Palace and La Almudena Cathedral.

This is an excellent way to get an aerial view of Madrid. I would definitely recommend the return trip as it is well worth it.

I saw this marked on a map, and I like things that take me up high. It wasn't particularly high, and the views were mostly of houses and apartments below. Once at the other side, there is a building with souvenirs. The cafe is closed,...More

We arrived at the cable car to find it was closed due to the wind (16mph according to our phone app). There was nothing on the website to say it was closed so maybe phone ahead if you’re planning a trip in the autumn/winter.

For 6 Euros per roundtrip you get to fly through Madrid's air. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the sights like the Royal palace. The complete ride takes about 20 min and is as I believe an interesting experience in Madrid.

We stumbled upon this by spotting it at the top left of the tour bus map. It only features in the DK tourist book under Kids activities and really seems off the tourist trail. It is about 10-15mins walk up from the Egyptian temple through...More

We easily walked from Sol to Opera and from there we meandered to the Rosaleda del Parque del Oeste. We waited in line 20 minutes and then walked on the gondola and waltzed off over the Rio Manzanares toward the greenery of the Casa de...More

Went (yet again!) on the Teleférico to Casa de Campo on a warm day in September. I had recently had an operation on my knee, so while mobile, still found stairs a problem. We wanted to eat at the restaurant and were annoyed that the...More

A fun ride which gives you great views over the city. You then arrive at Casa de Campo which is a lovely place to wander around/go for a run/go to one of the attractions. There is also a great play area for all ages of...More
