Worst place on earth. You order a tortilla which was made yesterday and order Jamon de bellota and get serrano badly cut. Don't go into this place, walk into the light instead.

The food here, especially downstairs, is absolutely amazing value, with bocadillos starting at 1€ and 0.50€ beer!! It's a blessing for any budget travellers. The meat in the bocadillo were very good. The environment was very energetic and had a very local feeling to it....More

We visited this restaurant a number of times when we were in Madrid ten years ago and loved it so had to come back. And nothing has changed - still good hearty spanish food at reasonable prices. Friendly service. No need to make a reservation...More

It's a very nice place, with accessible prices, specializing in Iberico Ham. Very tasted, also you can find some good cheeses too. And for taking back home, there are different types of Ham Vacuum packed, so you don't have any problem at customs!

Very interesting restaurant specializing in Jamon Iberico. Great sandwiches along with larger meals. Be prepared to wait sometimes as it is a very popular place. There are numerous sites around the city but this particular one is our favorite..

I went there to buy different "hams and sausages" to bring back home. Good explanation and I was offered to taste everything I was looking at. All I bought was vacuum packed free. What I tasted was really good and looking at other shops I...More

Saw a large crowd for lunch and after looking through the menu thought it was worth a shot. NOT! Sat and got a sangria and put in my order and watched as I was forgotten. Finally, got a paella that was OK but unremarkable. Waited...More

As other reviewers have pointed out, this restaurant or eatery is part of a chain. The name is a bit misleading, although there is lots of ham on display from different regions of Spain. The food was okay, but basic and nothing special, but the...More

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street

Yes, there are two shops near the hotel. Because I don't remember the street names, you may want to check with the front desk staff. The museo is fantastic! Note the packaging for the ham does not meet US agricultural... More
