This is a beautiful church in Embajadores, Madrid. When I visited the church, the dome was under renovations. It is a beautiful church as many in Madrid.

Iglesia Parroquial San Millan Y San Cayetano is a stunning looking church to be found in the wonderful Embajadoras neighbourhood.
This church was actually founded in 1612 but constructed between 1669 - 1761 ,always being reconstructed, the different architectural styles are evident, mostly Baroque which looks superb ,the church was damaged during the Napoleonic War's and there after fell into disrepair, during the Spanish Civil War on 19th July 1936 the church was gutted by fire, eventually being rebuilt during the 1960's .
The church facade looks superb, its slightly distressed, has a faded elegance to it,the interior is stunning, very opulent.
The church is easy to locate on Calle De Embajadoras and is most definitely the worth checking out if your in the area.

My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to the great craft beer bar called Craft Against The Machine and passed this beautiful church.
The Church Of Saint Cajetan ( Church Of St Millán Y San Cayetano ) was founded in 1612 with the present church construction taking place between 1669 and eventually completed in 1761 but through the years and in particular during the Napoleonic wars the church fell into disrepair and on July 19 1936 a fire gutted the church with only the baroque facade remaining.
The church was rebuilt during the 1960's and although the facade looks a little faded the interior is absolutely amazing .
We really enjoyed our little visit to this church before we moved on.
This church is easy to locate on Calle De Embajadores in the Lavapies neighbourhood, bus M1 to stop Embajadores- Centro Mayores practically drops you off by the church.
Well worth checking out if your in the area.

Iglesia Parroquial de San Millan y San Cayetano has an impressive facade with many interesting statues and unusual red brickwork. Inside the thick corinthian pilasters in the nave are impressive and there's an attractive alter piece.

This old looking church lies in a back street but is well worth seeing. It's exterior facade has dated brickwork but has three fabulous statues to it's front and inside it is wonderous. It has a high dome ceiling with all parts of the church adorned with gold leaf monuments and figurines and it has a massive gold leaf alter. Not to be missed.

Beautiful interior, the exterior was damaged during the war. This church has a very curious history because at a certain point in history it was transformed into homes.
