The statue to Alvaro de Bazan sits in Plaza de la Villa, one of Madrid's most historic places and a square surrounded by beautiful buildings dating back to the 15th century. This is an absolute must see!

This monument is located on the Plaza de la Villa with some of the most historic buildings around: Casa de la Villa and Casa Cisneros. Alvaro de Bazan (1526–1588), was a famous Spanish admiral. According to the legend he was never defeated.
