From 6 artist on stage: Two dancers with a singer, a guitarrist, percussion and a violin or flute. Since its beginnings, Flamenco has evolved in hidden places. It is danced and sung in private, in the presence of a select group of friends, without any amplification. Often, a brick cellar would be chosen, due to its wonderful acoustics. This is the authentic, unvarnished performance that we seek to recreate: a man and a woman dancing, a singer, a guitarist, a violin and percussion, sounds and shadows on ancient brick-lined cellar walls, all in a show lasting one hour. Welcome to Essential Flamenco.

I was a little reluctant when I was walking into the place because it looked a bit like a tourist trap... but the drinks were good, the performers outstanding and the show absolutely excellent... definitely worth the money!More

I enjoyed the show. You got to see a solo of each instrument player. The dancers were great. A drink is included with the ticket (Sangria or soda if you don't drink).

This was the only flamenco venue we visited in Madrid but it was as good as shows we have seen elsewhere in Spain. The club itself in the old town is atmospheric being below a small bar area, down in the cellar of the building....More
